How We Work

    Our Process

Six stages that guide the client from assessment to final handoff. Each one exists because skipping it leads to compromises we don't accept.

"Most cellar projects fail not because of bad taste, but because no one was responsible for the whole picture. We coordinate the wine-cellar scope so the client doesn't have to."

    01

    Private Assessment

We begin with the collection, the space, the lifestyle, and the risks. The goal is to prevent expensive decisions before they happen.

Collection-First Cellar Assessment — a paid, individually scoped advisory engagement.

    02

    Specification

We define capacity, cellar format, cooling direction, racking strategy, display priorities, and documentation requirements.

    03

    Sourcing

We coordinate cooling and racking options through manufacturer relationships, including WhisperKOOL and Ultra Wine Racks where appropriate.

    04

    Trade Coordination

We align the wine-cellar scope with the client's architect, designer, builder, HVAC/refrigeration professional, electrician, glass vendor, millworker, or installer.

    05

    Documentation

We maintain a project file covering specifications, product information, installer details, warranty registration guidance, and client handoff.

    06

    Handoff & Cellar Use

We help the client understand how to use, organize, monitor, and maintain the cellar after completion.

Licensed trades perform installation and construction work. Cooper Private Cellars guides the client from assessment to final handoff.

    What Sets Us Apart

    The Specification Difference

    Single Point of Contact

One advisor guides the client from assessment to final handoff. You never coordinate vendors or trades directly.

    Specification Discipline

We maintain specification and documentation discipline across every stage — from cooling direction to warranty registration. Nothing is left to memory.

    Hospitality Thinking

We approach cellars the way a great wine program is built — with attention to the collection, service flow, guest impression, and the experience of the room.
